So it's January 1, 2007 and do I feel like a slug or do I feel like a slug.
This year I'm trying something different. I'm dispensing with all that New Years Resolution crap, I made an Old Years Resolution instead on December 31, 2006.
And that resolution was...
... to enter at least one running race in 2007. I'm obviously well qualified to enter the "Edmonton Fat Ass 50".
I've tried the whole calorie controlled diet thing, to no avail, so I've decided that the best thing to do to run off a lard-ass is to up my running distances, and run those fat cells out of town.
Today being Jan 1 what was my plan. Well actually by the time I rolled out of bed it was not exactly the dawn of a new year. So instead of putting on the running gear I groped my way to the shower, then a hearty and healthy breakfast of fruit salad, crispy rice and organic yogurt.
Feeling virtuous while I munched on my pomegranate seeds etc I enviously watched a runner go by the window. Now at the moment, and probably for the next 4-5 months there will be snow on the ground, and I can't run on the damn stuff. I can barely walk on it without slipping and sliding, so how do they do it?
When I find out I'll let you know, but till then the treadmill will have to satisfy my running needs...
