Well I’ve been here about a month now and life is good. I have these humans wrapped around my little paw, they can’t do enough for me. But never let it be said I’m an ungrateful kitty, I give them lots of special purrs and roll over a lot so they can give me belly rubs… it seems to give them pleasure.
Last night there was no bedtime game to get me into my room, they simply gave me some attention, said “goodnight” and off they went leaving me in a dark room. I’m not too keen on the dark and they do draw curtains across the low level windows so I can’t get spooked, but this was new.
Anyway I decided that a bit of nighttime exploring was in order so I trotted about checking out things from an entirely new perspective, good night vision us cats. I even took the opportunity to check out the kitchen worktops which I’m completely banned from, nothing too exciting up there though, they must have suspected.
Their bedroom door was invitingly left open though so guess what they saw in the morning when their alarm went off? Me! Lying as quiet as you please on the bottom of their bed… mmmmmmm nice comfy down quilt.
Well once they got over the shock of seeing me snoring at their feet they were delighted and a few strokes and belly rubs were in order… for me before you make up an entirely different ending.

So after a month I seem to have won their trust and I think that nighttimes are going to be a whole lot more cosy from now on.
