On wandering into the office this morning I saw a disconcerting sight. My bed, normally on Dads desk was on the floor, this must mean a client is coming. I flopped onto my bed on the floor making grumpy sounds and ensuring that everyone knew I wasnt happy.

Been taking a little rest from writing as I had a problem with RSI (rotten spammer issues). For some reason all these really irritating people keep trying to post comments on my blog advertising things that I have no idea what they are, but evidently theyd make the bits I no longer have bigger.

Hate that vet

Mom just took me to the vet for my yearly checkup and booster shots. I actually like my little carrier now, its cosy and Mom lines it with my favourite towel.

So part of my checkup is my weight, hey lady cant you see that Im a lean mean playing machine, I dont have any jiggly bits. Anyway I was behaving impeccably until I smelt cat on the weighing scales. Boy did Mom jump when I hissed and growled. Ok so I dont like other cats, ok so I loathe other cats, but I guess that I should expect there to be some cat smells at the vets.

Mosquito country livin

Living in mosquito country just ain't any fun two months of the year. Now Im an outside (albeit restricted) kitty Mom was getting worried about me being bitten by those nasty little bloodsuckers. She read that cats (and those other canine thingies... oh yeah... dogs) can get heartworm from mosquito bites.

Thunderstorms are not the boss of me

Cant figure out why Mom & Dad were so worried about me and thunderstorms. Ok so I wasnt very good with fireworks on New Years Eve, but the storm rolled into Canmore yesterday afternoon while I was having a catnap... didnt even ruffle my fur, slept through it all I'm such a cool cat.

Did a lot of catnapping yesterday to make up for all the sunbathing Sat and Sun when it was hot hot hot, and looks like today is gonna be more catnaps. Mind you the rain keeps my fur soft and silky.

Theres more to life than tuna

For Dads birthday there was smoked salmon on the menu, oh boy is that stuff good. I thought Id hit the pinnacle of food heaven with tuna but smoked salmon... oh boy!

Anyway Mom and Dad spent an industrious day Saturday working on my outside enclosure, they didnt finish it so I guess they didnt really work hard enough though the rain showers were a bit of a dampener on productivity, but on Sunday they were out there again and finally it was done.

Happy Purrday to me!

Today is my 3rd purrday. Im not sure what real date I was born on as this is the date I was given by the Cochrane SPCA, its the date they picked me up roaming wild. So I guess that 3 cat years means Ive hit 21!

Anyway I spent a nice night snuggled up to Mom, shes always good for a few cuddles and attention at any time of the night, though for some reason she prefers me not to lick her hands and face while shes asleep. Cant think why, my tongue must be the cheapest exfoliator shell find.

Just got my own domain name!

Mom just bought me my own domain name, well Im not too bothered about using her slugblog really but she figured that I should have my own as Im now an internet savvy kitty.

I would have liked scooterblogger.com but for some reason it was for sale for $3,500... can you believe it? That sure is a lot of kibble.

Theres always time for a catnap

Mom read that cats sleep up to 18 hours a day, not all of that is deep sleep, most is just catnapping so that us cats can leap into action in a millisecond. After all you never know when a bit of tuna or chicken may be dropped so I have to be at the ready for all opportunities.

Blue Hut Kitty

I like to help Mom & Dad out when theyre working, and I take my Blue Hut duties very seriously.

Mom works away from home 3 days a week at the local micro-brewery The Grizzly Paw, but in a few days time shell be working at home 5 days a week with Dad as hes a bit too busy and cant spend enough of the day playing with me. So soon Im gonna have both parents working from home... how lucky is that?

Mom just came home with another pressie for me. How lucky can a cat get?

Mom went into The Mut Hut (one of Dads website clients), and the nice lady Charlene who owns it just happened to have a great bed that Mom thought would be perfect for me on her jewellery making desk, for when I watch her while shes making stuff.

Christmas is cool, I got a stocking all to myself filled with UK cat treats. I think that the same does apply to UK cat treats as chocolate, way better!

So an afternoon of fun and games with Mom & Dad and turkey for dinner, yum... what more could a kitty ask for?

Moms home again!

So Dad picked Mom up from the airport in yet another snowstorm, I did offer to go with him but -20C or a warm down pillow... hmmmm tough choice for a cat... not.

Anyway Moms done with the UK thing now, Grandmas funeral is over, Moms home safely and shes permanently unpacked her bag.

This time she bought me a squishy soft cushion with a Union Jack on it. Its just a perfect Scooter the Cat size for beating up or using as a pillow. Like this more than Pudgy the Pig Mom.

Now we can concentrate on Christmas. Whats in my stocking under the tree Mom?
